December 29, 2011

Well, I'm late in posting the last couple of Christmas cards I made.  But, as they say, better late than never!

I've had such fun creating all of my own cards this year!  Here are the last several cards I sent out to family and friends.  One is a Tilda, and the rest are just random images I found and liked.

All of my images were stamped on Copic X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copics.

Skin:  E000, 00, 11, R20
Hair:  YR20, 21, 24, E31
Holly:  G12, 24, 28, R59
Shoes, Hair Bows:  R43, 46, 59
Dress:  YR21, 23, 24
Colorless blender, White Signo Pen

The papers I used were Bazzill CS and Paper Studio DP (from a Season's stack).  The front sentiment circle was a download, and the inside sentiment was made with a Studio G stamp.  I use a Spellbinders die to create the panels and a Martha Steward punch to edge the front panel. The panels were popped up on foam tape.  I also added some Stickles, inked the edges, and used some baker's twine and jingle bells to finish off the card.  This card was sent to my husband's brother and his wife.

I made this card for my in-laws.  I used Bazzill CS for the base and mats, and the DP is from a BoBunny stack.  The NOEL was created using a stamp from the Pat Catan's dollar bin, and I used a MS corner punch to embellish the corners of the panel.  The panel was popped up on foam tape.  I created the poinsettia with felt ~ cut five petals by hand, then used a running stitch across the flat side of the petal and drew the thread and tied it off.  Created the center with a brad and then glittered the whole poinsettia, as well as the NOEL panel, with some Shimmer mist.  A few pearls completed the front.  I kept the inside really simple ~ heat embossed the Christmas tree and sentiment and added a couple of pearls.

Fur trim and Shoes:  E40, 41, 42, 43
Skin:  E000, 00, 11, R20
Hat:  YG61, 63, 67
Coat:  R43, 46, 59
Stars, Moon:  Y13, 15, 17
Beard:  C1, 2, 3, W2, 3, 4
Colorless Blender

I sent this card to my husband's other brother and his fiancee.  I don't even remember where I got this Santa image, but I love country so this was right up my alley.  Kraft CS, buttons, twine, country papers ~ gosh, I just loved this card when I was finished with it!  My DP's came from a Paper Studio Christmas stack, and the CS is Bazzill.  Everything was inked with Chestnut Roan chalk ink, and Stickles gave some sparkle to the fur on Santa's coat and hat, the stars and moon, and the button.  I used an EK Success punch to create the inside sentiment panel which is stamped with a Studio G punch.  This card has lots of layers and was super fat!!!  LOL!

Mitten cuffs/hearts:  R24, 27, 29
Mittens:  G16, 17, 19, 28

This last card was made for my oldest son and his soon-to-be fiancee.  I used Bazzill CS and Paper Studio DP Christmas stack.  The front sentiment was created with a download.  The mittens were a random stamp, and the hat was actually a precolored CS shape I got at my local scrapbooking store.  I used some baker's twine, bling, white Signo pen, and Stickles to embellish the card front.  The snowflakes on the card were created with my Expression, as well as the inside sentiment.  Aren't those little mitten buttons cute on the inside?  I purchased those at a scrapbooking expo last spring.

Well, that's it for my holiday cards!  Now I'm anxious to get started on some springtime stuff!!!  I have lots of ideas for things I want to try!
Seems like the winter weather is just beginning here in Ohio!  We've had little snow and pretty warm temperatures, but the weatherman says that is all going to change over the next few days.  It's actually pretty cold this morning, with a dusting of snow on the ground.

Stay warm, and happy crafting!
